-The digestive system is responsible for breaking down our food and allowing our body to absorb proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.
-4 foods that help with constipation and that are high in fiber- apples, prunes oatmeal, and beans
-4 foods that causes constipation- cheese, milk, bananas, and peanut butter
-The pancreas and the liver send enzymes to break down food
-the gallbladder sends enzymes to break down fats
-Common digestive diseases- Gastrities- inflammation of the linning of the stomach. Gastroesphaegeal- acid reflx. Ulcerative Colitis- Inflammation of the large intestines and the rectum.
